Frequently asked questions about Retreats

Question: Do I have to be an advanced yoga, meditation or movement practitioner to go on a retreat?
Answer: Not at all. Every year we have a wide range of students, from complete beginners (some who have never even done one class before!) to experienced teachers. The practices are accommodating for all levels so that each person can learn and deepen his or her knowledge and challenge themselves appropriately.

Question: Are share rooms single sex or co-ed?
Answer: They are single sex, unless otherwise specified or requested (i.e. you are a couple, or friends sharing)

Question: Is it possible to attend for part of the retreat?
Answer: We do not encourage people to attend for partial days, but of course understand if someone needs to leave a day early for personal or work related reasons.

Question: What is the food like?
Answer: The food is always fresh, nourishing and delicious, and we work to honour common dietary requirements and food allergies.

Question: Is there coffee, tea, desserts, and wine?
Answer: Yes, if you want! Coffee and tea will be available throughout the mornings and afternoons, as well as evening if people wish. Dessert is usually offered with dinner. Wine is available to purchase at the retreat restaurant.

Question: Are there toiletries available?
Answer: Yes, basic amenities are always provided, in addition to sheets, bedding, towels and hair dryers.

Question: Is there wifi available?
Answer: Yes. We do recommend that people keep their online time minimized so as to gain the most rest and quiet while on retreat.
